The new BoilerMate range of thermal stores from Gledhill has been designed specifically to work alongside modern boilers to provide mains pressure hot water, providing an updated stainless steel version of a tried and tested design.

The three ranges, produced at Gledhill’s Manufacturing Centre of Excellence for Stainless Steel, located in Blackpool, include the BoilerMate OV Pre-Plumbed, the BoilerMate SP and the BoilerMate SP Pre-Plumbed. Previously unavailable in pre-plumbed options, the new BoilerMate range now provides a ‘plug & play’ answer to quicker installations.

Thermal stores allow for mains pressure hot water to be delivered from an open vented cylinder, improving hot water delivery via a plate heat exchanger that works to heat water from the mains instantaneously. In addition, heating can be delivered to wet central heating systems including underfloor. For instance, the BoilerMate OV Pre-Plumbed model can utilise an open vented boiler to heat the store, which in turn provides mains pressure hot water to the taps whist also providing hot water to the central heating system.

Product Manager, Wayne Hyde, has been a key part of the development process for the new range. “The new BoilerMate range has been made from the same high quality duplex stainless steel used to manufacture our flagship StainlessLite range to provide lightweight thermal stores that will resist all forms of corrosion and increase system efficiency” says Wayne. “They make the perfect solution when utilised in apartment buildings as there is no requirement for discharge pipework.”

With no G3 qualification required to install the cylinder, the BoilerMate range is a great option for installers looking for an alternative to traditional vented cylinders or combination tanks. Offering a five year warranty, the new BoilerMate range is now available to order.
